Sayonara!

This is the last ever post I will write in dear old Japan. I am leaving Yanai in a mere 5 hours, and then I fly out to Malaysia tomorrow morning. I can hardly believe that two years are finally at an end, and that my 'Japan-life' is over. I have mixed emotions, as you would expect ; sad, excited, nervous, apprehensive, happy, and sad again. I have spent the last month attending farewell parties and meals, making speeches, packing, and making sure I have seen everyone and done everything. Tears have been shed (with students, and with friends), presents have been opened, 13 bags of garbage have been filled, and now I'm done. Well, maybe there are a few more tears to come....at the station later on, when I say goodbye to final friends and colleagues. I will blog some more about Japan when I get home to England, and have had some time to reflect on my time and experience here. I would like to write a post that will do my 2 years justice, and not a quicky one now, written hastily before my internet is cut off. So, dear readers, I'll be back! Lots more photos to come, lots more of Lauren's ramblings and musings, and hopefully lots more fun and adventure. Sayonara Nihon...thanks for the best 2 years of my young life!
