Completely my own fault...but frustrating and annoying nonetheless. My passport expires on January 21st next year, and I need to have at least 6 months on it in order to enter Singapore or Malaysia. I'm planning on arriving in Kuala Lumpur on July 27th...which I have now realised leaves me 6 days short of having enough validity on my current passport! Aaaaarrrgggghh! I hadn't looked at my passport since returning from Thailand, but I was aware of the fact that it would be up for renewal at the end of january...I just hadn't checked the exact date on it...until yesterday....when I read the Malaysia immigration website...and started to panic! I am not about to give up my great Malaysia trip that I've got planned, and so now I am going to have to go through all of the hassle of sending my passport up to the embassy for renewal...and paying about double what I would have to if I got it done back in Blighty. Ah well...at least I noticed now, and not 2 months from now...and at least my passport is then sorted for my next 10 years of travels. Let's see if I can fill all 32 pages!

..yeah you're probably right...i just didn't click that I didn't have that amount of time left on it. Boo! ah well...almost sorted now. rang up the embassy earlier...filled in my form...gonna send it all off 2moro..apparently it should be done in 10 days. As for my working visa...nah, apparently i need to go to an immigration office (tokuyama?), and get it transferred! Pooo!

Perhaps you should get one of those passports with the extra pages given recent travelling form? ;-)
