Mikans mikans mikans
Love em, love em, love em! It's the beginning of mikan (satsuma / mandarin orange) season here in Japan, and there are huge bags of mikans in the supermarkets for a very small price. When they're out of season, they cost around 800yen in my local shop (bout 4 quid)...and that's for a small container! Now, there are huge nets for about a pound! It's great! I've just had 2 with my lunch, and they were perfect!

i love mikans too (thankfully, considering where i live)! Do you know when and how we can organize a mikan-picking day down here on the island, or is it past already??

Hey Megan. Erm I think you can still do it now. I did it last year but Im sure it was after halloween..so you've prob still got time. I would say your best bet is to ask people at your school. I did mine with my school (agricultual high school)...it was fun, but tough! xx
