I get it!!

I finally get it...I finally understand Japan's obsession and fascination with its cherry blossom. They are truly amazing. I have just returned from a 6 day trip to Kyoto, Nara and Himeji, and was lucky to be there just as the cherry blossoms started to bloom. After a rainy saturday and sunday, the sun came out, and so did the blossoms. The philosophers walk in Kyoto, the temples in Nara, and Himeji Castle...all of them were made even more attractive by their blossom buddies. The initial excitement of seeing them for the first time didn't fade either..in fact we became more spellbound by them the more we saw. I don't 'get' raw fish, I don't 'get' some of the crazy fashion...but Japan...your cherry blossoms...I get it! Fantastic!
