It will all be fine!

‘It will all be fine’ has been my mantra since last Thursday…the day that I agreed to co-run Yamaguchi AJET.

(For those of you not in Japan…AJET is a bit like…erm…your student union at university. National AJET is like the NUS...and the prefectural AJETs are the local associations that help to organise the August orientation, the leaver’s party, and lots of other different events, parties and trips throughout the year for their prefecture.)

I’m sure it will all be fine….but that doesn’t stop me worrying now and again (especially with all the free time I’ve got at school at the moment), about the intricacies of group e-mailing, finances and budgets, and how to organise and pull off a great party, when you don’t speak the language needed to even book a restaurant or bar! Luckily, there are lots of other great people involved as well, and I’m sure once we start to pool our skills and interests, we’ll be able to come up with some great events and parties. To everyone who’s agreed to help so far…thanks heaps!!! I think we’re gonna do a great job!

(p.s . If you’re reading this and you’re planning on being around the ken in august…and you fancy helping with a night-out or a day trip on one of the weekends in August…could you get in touch! Your help and enthusiasm would be much appreciated, cos Gillian and I are both going back home in August. Thanks!)
