The arrival of Spring…or a cruel trick?

I’m afraid to write this entry in case I jinx it, but here goes!....I think…I think..spring might just about be here…or at least making a small appearance! Last night was the first night in ages, when I didn’t have my heater on all evening, when I didn’t sleep with a sleeping bag AND a duvet, and when I didn’t wake up sniffling from the cold! I’m not saying it was easy to get out of bed this morning for work…but it was certainly a little more tolerable! I’m not a morning person, so it’s never easy! Have just been out to the nearby convenience store (Lawsons) to buy my lunch, and the sun was shining…and it actually felt,,,,wait for it…WARM! Please let me banish the sleeping bag to the wardrobe until next winter, please let me wear less than 3 layers, please let the nice weather last!! I have a terrible feeling I might be writing again soon, reporting the return of the cold! Hope not!

(Please note; I’m trying to forget the fact that summer in Japan is rubbish too! I don’t like the cold, but I also don’t like humidity!! So for the next few months, before the mugginess hits, I’m going to live in denial, and just be happy that I can no longer see my own breath in my cold apartment...I’ll deal with the heat, mozzies, and typhoons later!)
