Kids say the funniest things..well Japanese kids anyway!

I've been marking some writing exercises from second yr (16-17yr old) students this week. On the whole they were pretty good, often grammatically acurate even! However, a couple stood out, as they made me almost chuckle out loud in the staffroom!

Question ; What do you want to be in the future?
Student answer ; In the future I want to be a cooker!

Question ; What is the food like in Japan?
Student answer ; In Japan there is a lot of Japanese food!

Question ; Who do you most admire?
Student answer ; The person I admire most is Sherlock Holmes. He is a detective in detective stories. He is calm, self-possessed and gentlemanly . He is excellent in every sphere. I want to become a woman like him even if he was the man in detective stories. So I respect Arthur Conan Doyle too.
